These terms govern your use of RateMyTennisCoach.com. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
About the service
RateMyTennisCoach helps players and parents discover tennis coaches and share coaching experiences. Listings and reviews are provided for information. We do not employ, certify, or endorse coaches merely by listing them, and we are not a party to coaching agreements or payment arrangements between coaches and players. Check a coach’s qualifications, suitability, availability, and safeguarding practices independently.
Accounts and eligibility
Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and do not impersonate another person. A public nickname may protect your identity, but must not mislead others about your affiliation. Use an account only if you can lawfully agree to these terms; otherwise a parent or guardian must act on your behalf. Parents submitting reviews about a child must be authorized to do so and should avoid identifying the child publicly.
Reviews and user content
Submit reviews based on your own experience as a player or as the parent or guardian of the player. Describe your experience honestly, distinguish opinions from factual claims, and disclose relevant conflicts of interest or incentives. Do not submit fabricated experiences, manipulate ratings, post duplicate or promotional reviews, impersonate others, or offer payment in exchange for favorable ratings.
Do not post unlawful content, threats, harassment, discriminatory abuse, private personal information, or content that infringes another person’s rights. Do not upload documents or information you are not authorized to share. Redact unrelated payment details, identity numbers, and information identifying children from verification evidence.
Permission to use submitted content
You retain ownership of your content. By submitting it, you grant RateMyTennisCoach a nonexclusive, royalty-free permission to store, reproduce, format, and use it to operate and moderate the service, and to display and distribute content you submit for public publication. Private verification documents are used for verification, administration, and related moderation rather than public display. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to us.
Moderation and verification
Reviews, new listings, corrections, and ownership claims may require approval before publication or activation. We may request more information, reject submissions, hide or remove content, or restrict accounts when needed to address abuse, inaccuracies, or violations of these terms. Approval does not guarantee that information is accurate or complete, and we do not promise to publish every submission.
A verified lesson badge indicates that supporting evidence was reviewed under our verification process. It does not guarantee the truth of every statement, a coach’s qualifications, or future coaching results. Profile ownership approval indicates review of submitted identity or affiliation evidence; it does not permit a coach to control independent player reviews.
Coach profiles, corrections, and claims
Coach information may come from public sources or user submissions and may become outdated. Suggest a correction when information is inaccurate. Claim a profile only if you are the coach or are authorized to act for that coach, and provide genuine identity and affiliation evidence. Approved ownership does not establish ownership of the service or a right to remove unfavorable reviews. Contact us about inaccurate, unauthorized, or rights-infringing material.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt unauthorized access, bypass access controls, distribute malicious code, interfere with the service, harvest private user information, or abuse account creation, evidence uploads, or moderation tools. Respect other users and third-party rights.
Privacy and third-party services
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled, including public review details and private evidence uploads. Google sign-in, maps, hosting, and other integrated services may have their own terms and privacy policies. Links to external websites do not imply our endorsement.
Availability and limitations
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranties about uninterrupted availability, the accuracy of listings or reviews, or the results of choosing a coach. Coaching decisions and interactions with third parties are your responsibility. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Account closure and content requests
You may stop using the service at any time. To request account closure, content removal, or review of a moderation decision, email info@ratemytenniscoach.com. We may need to verify your identity or authority. Information retention and deletion are described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the service changes and will update the date above. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes. Review the current terms before continuing to use the service.
